The goal of individual counseling is to help the client gain self-awareness, understand underlying issues, and develop strategies to improve their mental and emotional well-being. in individual counseling the client can explore a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, or personal growth.

TWEEN & TEEN COUNSELING
Teens often experience heightened emotions, identity exploration, peer pressure, academic stress, and family conflicts, all of which can impact their mental health. The goal is to equip teens with the tools they need to navigate their emotions and challenges in healthy ways, fostering resilience and emotional well-being during a critical period of growth and change. Additionally, teen counseling often involves collaboration with parents or guardians to ensure a supportive home environment.

MOMS & PARENTING
Parenthood can be both rewarding and overwhelming, with mothers often facing additional pressures related to balancing caregiving, work, relationships, and self-care. Counseling may provide tools for managing parental guilt, fostering a positive home environment, setting boundaries, and maintaining self-care. For mother's specifically, the focus may include dealing with feelings of isolation, identity shifts, work-life balance, or navigating the emotional and physical changes of pregnancy and motherhood. EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a structured form of psychotherapy designed to help individuals heal from trauma or distressing life experiences. EMDR is based on the idea that traumatic memories can become "stuck" in the brain and continue to cause - emotional pain, often leading to symptoms of anxiety, depression, or post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This therapy aims to reprocess these memories, reducing their emotional impact and allowing the individual to heal.

COLLEGE STUDENT & YOUNG ADULT COUNSELING
College students and young adults face a unique set of difficulties during these transition years. Students and young adults will receive help navigating these unique challenges of academic life, personal growth, and the transition to adulthood. These individuals often face stress from academic pressure, adjusting to a new environment, social expectations, and career decisions, which can sometimes lead to anxiety, depression, or relationship issues. Together we'll work to build coping skills, manage stress, improve self-esteem, and work through emotional or psychological difficulties that might affect their academic/work performance or personal well-being. Common topics include time management, balancing academic and social life, identity exploration, and managing mental health conditions
IN-PERSON & TELEHEALTH OPTIONS AVAILABLE
Our office is located on Cy-Hope’s beautiful property in Cypress, Texas off of Telge Road. Come walk along our trail before or after sessions or sit on the swing and watch the squirrels run. Can’t make it into the office? No worries – we can do teletherapy to meet your busy schedule.

At this time, I am considered an out-of-Network provider and can provide you with a detailed statement or "superbill" in order for you to file for reimbursement with your insurance carrier, upon request. I recommend contacting your insurance carrier to see what your Out-of-Network benefits include and how to submit a superbill for reimbursement.

Therapy is a quality investment in yourself, your child or your family.
At this time, individual rates are $125 per session; family $150
Each session is 45-50 minutes
FSA and HSA accounts are accepted.
*Sliding scale is available upon request and based on financial need. Please contact if you need a financial consideration form.

It can be difficult to provide an exact number. Current research recommends a minimum of 8-12 sessions, depending on your presenting concerns.
We will discuss this process during your first intake session. Typically, we will begin with weekly sessions.

The first session will be with parents) or caregivers only to discuss presenting concerns, expectations, policies, and goals.
The following sessions will be with child and therapist. Parent check ins will be scheduled as necessary.
Parents of children 12 and under must stay on the property whether in your car, outside walking the beautiful grounds or in the waiting room.

Confidentiality protects the information discussed in session between client and therapist by law.
However, there are some exceptions required by law to this rule. Exceptions include:
Suspected child abuse, dependent adult, or elder abuse. The therapist is required to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person.
If a client intends to harm themselves. The therapist will make every effort to work with the individual to ensure their safety. However, if an individual does not cooperate, additional measures may need to be taken.
Some court related issues.
Abuse from another mental health professional.
As your child's parent or legal guardian, you have the right to their information throughout the counseling process. However, therapy works best for children if they feel a sense of privacy and trust with their therapist. I will help maintain this balance between privacy and disclosure. I will alert you if your child discloses any active suicidal ideation or homicidal ideation. I will also assess any safety concerns that parents should be aware of.

Groups are led 2x/yr in the Spring and Summer. Exact dates and times will be posted on social media sites or you can sign up for our newsletter to receive alerts.
Groups are held once a week for 6 weeks at $50/wk ($300 total). A $50 deposit is required at the time of registration and the remaining balance of $250 will be charged the Friday before your group is scheduled to begin.
Due to supplies needed for each group and group member, we are not offering refunds for any missed sessions once group begins. However, your child will still be provided materials from their missed week to complete upon their return. If time does not allow us to complete the missed activity, instructions and materials will be provided so they can complete at home.
